Food For All has officially started the P.L.A.N.T. gardens! Spring is here and we're getting down with the sunshine while out in the community building Square Foot Gardens for local families.
If you'd like to learn how to build the raised beds and grid-lattice based Square Foot Garden we can teach you how through hand-on learning opportunities! These volunteer opportunities include learning the proper soil mix, assembling the cedar box and basic irrigation install skills. If you'd like to learn and serve your community call us at 509-422-4041 x30. There will be gardens built every week & weekend in April, so give us a shout!
Our next garden-building opportunity is Thursday April 7th in Oroville. We are looking for a few volunteers, transportation from OCCAC building available. The week of April 11th gardens will be built in the Okanogan/Omak area and in Brewster. Call or email food4all@occac.com for details and scheduling.
