Planting, Gleaning & Gardening, a trifecta of awesome

Today at Food For All has been B-U-S-Y! Preparing for tomorrow's PLANTING PARTY has been all hustle and bustle as we've scored some plant start donations from the Okanogan County WSU Master Gardener's and WVCC Omak greenhouse! These plant start donations are generous gifts from these groups totaling 295 starts!

This afternoon was spent GLEANING! Filaree Fruit's orchardist JC Kauffman was cleaning out his cold storage and donated 1650 pounds of Organic apples! Filaree Farm has been a loyal supporter of the Food For All program over the last few years and has contributed thousands of pounds of fresh produce to our local food bank serving the community through feeding the hungry.

Finally, one of our new volunteers helped Food For All prepare the on-site food bank gardens by gleaning produce for tomorrow's food bank line. A pound of each: spinach, butterleaf lettuce, turnips & green onoins was yanked out, rinsed off and bagged up ready to go for tomorrow.

Come see us at Food For All tomorrow, Thursday the 19th!
